Meet Robin Burr, Scuba Instructor

Biographical Information
Robin Burr is a part-time professional photojournalist specializing in underwater marine life, specifically coral animals. She currently helps manage web site technology and computer consulting firms both in the U.S. and in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
She was partial owner and full-time manager of Quantum Leap Technologies, a multimedia CD-ROM software company that she and her husband, Robert, started in 1986 and maintained over 10 years until June 1996. Robin is author and photographer of two CD-ROM products: Coral Collection and Reef Collection (Quantum Leap Technologies, 1993, 1994). She and husband Rob were founders of Fisheye View Scuba Magazine, published by Quantum Leap from 1987 through 1992 when it was sold to Rodale's Scuba Diving. Robin performed the function of Editor and her articles have been published in numerous other magazines. She is available for photography and writing assignments, as well as for sales of photography.
Robert and Robin Burr specialize in leading a few exotic adventure diving expeditions each year and are responsible for bringing Hogsty Reef Atoll to the attention of the diving community. They ran several special trips to this, the only atoll in the Atlantic, located between Great Inagua and Acklins Islands in the southeastern Bahamas, during in the early 1990's.

Scuba Diving since High School, 1974; PADI Instructor #26858-October 1987, Nitrox Certified 1990, Medic First Aid Instructor 1990, Computer Assisted Diving Instructor 1990, Oxygen Management 1990, Re-Breather Certified 1996.
Community Service
Robin is active in the Coral Gables Woman's Club as the Newsletter Editor and Webmaster and has served as the Second Vice President for two years. In this capacity she has produced the Annual Yearbook twice and is responsible for the Installation Luncheon.
Robin is a member of the Coral Gables Kiwanis Club and is a Key Club Advisor. She is also a member of the Providenciales Chamber of Commerce and the Turks and Caicos Hotel Association.
Robin has been very active with the Boy Scouts for over 10 years and serves as Advisor for Crew 7, Advancement Coordinator for Troop 7 and works on the District Committee has webmaster, Membership Chairman and Order of the Arrow Internet Advisor. At the Council level she serves on the Technology Committee and is webmaster for the Council. She has numerous awards and accomplishments within Scouting.
